Where is the Hay?

Ah, said July—
Where is the Seed—
Where is the Bud—
Where is the May—
Answer Thee—Me—

KAARINA KAIKKONEN EXHIBITIONS 04/06 - 30/09

The church of Borgo Trento is covered with clothes, thanks to the contemporary finnish artist Kaarina Kaikkonen.
Those clothes, belonging to children and women, become a living material for the artist, due to the loving energy of the living heart that wore them.

DAVIDE RIVALTA. DREAMS OF GLORY 26/05 - 07/01

Inside the park that surrounds the Castle of Brescia, it is possible to visit (for free) the exhibitions of Davide Rivalta, emilian artist.
This exhibition includes 14 monumental bronze sculptures, representing gorilla and chimpanzee.
The sculptures are set up without any kind of fence or base, just to emphasize a kind of freedom and independence returned to animals by the artist itself.
Interesting the choice of the place for the exhibition, in contrast to the ideology behind it: in the same place, in 1912, was opened the historic zoo of Brescia that remained open for about 70 years.

ACQUARIATERRAFUOCO 24/06 - 01/10

An environmental exhibition in the territory of Clusane, Iseo Lake.
Helidon Xhixha, international artist, is known for his talent in modelling steel, as if it were an alchemical fluid, capable of assuming shapes and dimensions of extraordinary power.
One of the sculptures that appears in the Sebino is a large iceberg that wants to bring to light the theme, more current than ever, of climate change.

PLESSI MARRIES BRIXIA 09/06 - 07/01

Santa Giulia Museum and Brixia archeological park are pleased to host the first diffuse exhibition that the city of Brescia dedicates to Fabrizio Plessi, the pioneer of video art and video installations in Italy.

ALLEGRO MA NON TROPPO 18/05 - 31/12

An installation by Jan Van Lierde, architect and lightning designer. The installation is located in Piazza della Loggia, more precisely under the porch of Monte di Pietà.
You can also find the same installation in Bergamo, during the year in which the two cities share the title of Italian Capital of Culture.
