Lake Iseo & Montisola
The glow of Lake Iseo
Nature and tranquillity with an original cuisine based on fish are the characteristics of Lake Iseo and is just a few kilometres from Brescia.
The Brescia side is full of attractions: on one side of the lake it’s possible to contemplate the lake and Monte Isola, on the other side there is an explosion of vineyards, orchards , olive trees and flowers followed by chestnut woods and mountains.
Protruding from the water is the Island of San Paolo and Loreto and at the centre Monte Isola, the largest Island in a lake in Europe, on which no private motorised means are allowed, and this contributes in creating a romantic and oldfashion atmosphere. The centre of Iseo, is also a starting point for excursions, sport activities and bird watching in the Torbiere reserve. In the vicinity of the Paul VI Centre.
